How to maintain the valve in operation?

For valves in operation, all kinds of valve parts should be complete and intact. For example, the V-type ball valve, the bolts on the flange and bracket are indispensable, the threads should be intact and no loosening is allowed.

If the tightening nuts on the handwheel are found to be loose, tighten them in time to avoid wear and tearing the connections or losing the handwheel and nameplate. If the handwheel is lost, it is not allowed to be replaced by a movable wrench and should be equipped in time. The filler gland does not allow for re-absorption or no pre-tightening gap.

For valves in environments that are susceptible to rain, snow, dust, wind and sand, protective covers should be installed on the valve stem.

The ruler on the valve should be kept intact, accurate and clear. The valve's lead seal, cap, pneumatic accessories, etc. should be complete and intact. The insulation jacket should be free of concave partitions or cracks.

It is not allowed to knock, stand or support heavy objects on operating valves; especially non-metal valves and cast iron valves, and it must be prohibited.

The lubricating parts should be refueled regularly according to the specific circumstances. Valves that are frequently opened and have high temperatures are suitable for refueling once a week to month; valves that are not often opened and have low temperatures can be refueling a longer period.

Lubricants organic oil, butter, molybdenum disulfide and graphite, etc. High-temperature valves are not suitable for use with engine oil or butter, which will be lost due to high temperature melting, but are suitable for injecting molybdenum disulfide and applying graphite powder.

For exposed parts that need lubrication, such as trapezoidal threads, gears, etc., if greases such as butter are used, it is easy to contaminate dust. When lubrication is used with molybdenum disulfide and graphite powder, it is not easy to contaminate dust, and the lubrication effect is better than butter. Graphite powder is not easy to apply directly, and can be mixed with a little engine oil or water to form a paste.

Note: Oil-sealed plug cock valve should be filled with oil at the specified time, otherwise it will be prone to wear and leak.
